Local-first, public with care

Walk first. Notice what stays.

Alinea keeps Fragment, Essay, Sketch, Photo, Voice, and Walk records together with place. Drafts and Private records remain on the device by default. Public, Followers only, and Link only records are reviewed before the text, media, and public-safe location are uploaded.

01

Private by default

Draft writing, exact routes, and unpublished media stay local unless you choose to share or enable a future sync option.

02

Place without exposure

Hide location, show only a city, or use an approximate area before a record appears in Map Discovery.

03

A quieter public space

Essays, short responses, saves, follows, blocks, and reports are designed around reading rather than reach.

One archive

Words, images, sound, and the walk between them.

Capture a fragment while walking, add a restrained Photo Tone, sketch a facade, or keep a short voice note. Later, grow those pieces into an Essay, a City Archive, or a shared collection without losing the original context.

Walk archive

Route, duration, distance, city, and linked entries stay together in a chronological record.

Quiet capture

Write, photograph, sketch, or record a short voice note without leaving the current Walk.

Alinea Tone

Subtle, non-destructive photo treatments bring visual consistency without turning Alinea into a filter app.

Read across languages

Translation remains separate from the original text, so readers can move between both without replacing the author's words.
